ABOUT DR THORNBURG WELLNESS
Dr. Brian Thornburg is a board-certified pediatrician, physician specializing in child abuse pediatrics, functional medicine practitioner, and father of eight children. He brings together decades of pediatric experience, scientific research, and common sense with one goal: to give parents the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions and help their children grow, develop, and thrive.
Behind that mission is a small, dedicated team with a personal connection to the families we serve.
Johanna, an autism mom whose own family journey has shaped her passion for helping other families, supports the day-to-day work of Dr. Thornburg Wellness—from customer support and the online store to social media and marketing.
Dr. Thornburg’s daughter, Ella, helps bring his educational content to life through video, while his wife, Jami, contributes her perspective as a mother of eight and provides IT support behind the scenes.
Our mission extends beyond education and wellness.
Giving back is an important part of our purpose and another way we can make a meaningful difference beyond the families we reach directly.
Above all, we are committed to bringing Dr. Thornburg’s experience, knowledge, and message directly to families—helping parents feel informed, empowered, and supported as they make decisions about their children’s health and future.

This honor recognizes Dr. Thornburg's transformative work with the Children's Advocacy Center and his creation of nationally recognized training that helps state attorney office investigators and SVU detectives safely protect and establish child abuse victims.
Sheriff's Recognition Award, January 12, 2026
Dr. Thornburg received the Sheriff's Recognition Award from Sheriff Kevin Rambosk of the Collier County Sheriff's Office for 16 years of dedicated service in child protection and combating child exploitation.
